This week we are learning about and painting color wheels. Fifth grade is drawing and painting a color wheel that looks like an umbrella. Fourth grade is drawing and painting a color wheel that looks like a flower. Third grade is drawing and painting a color wheel that looks like an eyeball. Second grade is painting a color wheel that looks like six mice staring at a piece of cheese. Each grade uses primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) to create their own secondary colors (orange, green, and purple) for their paintings. The students are doing such a good job mixing their own paint colors. I am very impressed with the results so far and look forward to seeing what the students for the remainder of the week accomplish!
Welcome back to another great school year! I am so excited to get back into the swing of things and create some beautiful artwork this year! This week we are creating portfolios to keep our artwork in. If your child has not returned their art contracts, please get those signed and returned as soon as possible. We will be gluing these contracts to the back of our portfolios.
I am looking forward to this year and I hope your children are ready to use their creativity! |
